day one of Indy 500 qualifying belong to Andretti Auto Sport. The team has been fast all week long, and today it was once again the top four on the timing sheet. All Andretti cars. Marco Andretti led the way with a four lap average of to 31.351 MPH. Ryan Hunter Ray was second quick with Alexander Rossi and James Hinchcliffe third and fourth, respectively. I knew if way executed would be top nine contenders. Just a goal today because, you know, after tonight, um, ninth place is equal to me. Right? So, um, but did I think the one I’m not sure about that. So, uh, but it made me feel good and made me feel if we could go replicate tomorrow, find a little bit that weaken apple s we knew that way, had fast break spurs, and we were getting guard test planets because we wanted to and, you know, just just figure improvements every every day. So, um, we knew it’s possible. It’s it’s always a challenge to actually go out and do it for four laps toe. But I was prize. Scott Dixon did make it interesting though at the end of the day Saturday, he had turned the fastest lap of the afternoon before ultimately backing off on his last lap, likely making a statement to enjoy the auto sport.
