Autosport magazine returns to the news stands

Autosport magazine is available on news stands from today, with a full preview of the delayed 2020 Formula 1 season.

The weekly magazine, which first appeared on 25 August 1950, was paused following the 30 April issue due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Autosport.com has continued to publish daily features and news updates, and established a new #ThinkingForward podcast series speaking to leading names in the motorsport industry.

The magazine’s return ahead of this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix continues its proud tradition of providing insight and analysis of the wide breadth of motorsport, from F1 to rallying and Formula E, with increased coverage of UK national competition.

This week’s F1 preview issue contains a full team by team run down by technical expert Tim Wright, analysis of the upheaval at Williams and whether Red Bull can challenge Mercedes’ supremacy.

It also features a look back at the 1977 Austrian Grand Prix in which Alan Jones caused an upset for Shadow, and looks ahead to the resumption of national motorsport this weekend.

Autosport chief editor Kevin Turner said: “We would like to thank all its readers for their patience and for the kind messages of support we have received during these unprecedented times.

“The situation remains challenging, but we relaunch with the aim of continuing to provide all the things our loyal readers love about Autosport.”
