Upcoming 300cc-plus Honda motorcycle to rival Royal Enfield

Earlier this week, Honda revealed that it will launch a brand-new motorcycle in India on September 30. Today, the manufacturer shared with us the exhaust note of this upcoming motorcycle in a rather unique way.

The audio clip is of an exhaust note that sounds exactly like that of a Royal Enfield’s signature thump. It reveals what the bike sounds like while starting up, at idle and as it accelerates through the gears. Listen to the clip below and tell us what you think.

Mercedes-Benz teases new EQS and EQE luxury electric vehicles

Mercedes-Benz unveiled a lineup of new electric vehicles built on a scalable architecture that will enable the automaker to tailor its production to a variety of vehicle types and shapes.

The new models are:

  • The flagship EQS luxury sedan, which Mercedes said would be part of the automaker’s S-Class segment and will go into production in 2021
  • An SUV version of the EQS, the EQS SUV, coming in 2022
  • The EQE sedan, not unlike Mercedes’ E-Class vehicles and described as the “business limousine of the future”
  • An SUV version of the EQS

In addition, the Mercedes EQA, a compact SUV based on the automaker’s GLA series, will go into production later this year, followed by the EQB crossover SUV in 2021. That’s a total of six new electric vehicles released over the course of the next two years. This will go a long way toward helping Mercedes realize its goal

California Bans the Sale of New Gas and Diesel Cars by 2035

As the global climate crisis literally heats up before humanity’s eyes, countries across the globe are taking drastic action to slash carbon outputs–many of them by moving to ban the sale of new internal combustion-engined vehicles (ICEVs). Some locales, such as Great Britain, have proposed merely culling diesel engines 15 years from now, while others such as Amsterdam have floated complete prohibitions on internal combustion engines (ICE) as soon as a decade out. And joining their ranks somewhere in the middle will be the state of California, whose Governor Gavin Newsom just signed a ban on the sale of new ICE vehicles by 2035.
